Passenger train engine catches fire in Kashmir


The engine of a passenger train plying on the Budgam-Banihal route in Kashmir caught fire at the Qazigund railway station on Thursday. No one was injured in the incident.

An official said that the fire erupted in the engine of train number 09760 prompting an immediate rescue operation.

“The rescue operation has concluded successfully and all the passengers on board are safe. Efforts are on to avoid any damage to the train,” the official said.
