The security forces of India and Pakistan didn’t carry out the customary practice of exchanging sweets on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr following the strained relationship between both the countries because of continuous ceasefire violation.
According to the news agency ANI, the Attari-Wagah border did not witness the celebratory exchange between the Border Security Forces (BSF) and the Pakistan Rangers this year to celebrate the festival.
Meanwhile, an Indian soldier was killed on Saturday in Pakistani sniper fire on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.
Defence Ministry sources said the incident took place in Laam area of Nowshera sector.
