No connection between my joining BJP and probe against firm owned by CM’s daughter: PC George

PC George, former MLA and United Democratic Front (UDF) Chief Whip in the Oomen Chandy government, has said that there is no connection between his joining the BJP and the probe initiated by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) against Exalogic Solutions, the firm owned by Kerala CM’s daughter.

In an interview given to a Malayalam news channel, George said the truth regarding the dealings of the firm owned by the Chief Minister’s daughter will come out through the SFIO investigation.

PC George also said that he knows that Pinarayi Vijayan and his daughter lost sleep just for the complaint raised by his son Shone George.

To query whether his entry into the BJP will bring Christian votes to the saffron party, George said he is not claiming that all the Christian vote will go to the BJP following his joining in the party.

“I am no fool to believe that all church votes will go to the BJP as I have joined the BJP. My task will be to bring more Christian votes to the BJP. If the party asks, I will contest from Pathanamthitta Lok Sabha constituency,” George said.

He also alleged that an unholy nexus exists between Popular Front of India (PFI) and CPI-M and this is helping the Left party to win elections in Kerala.

“Around 200 BJP-RSS workers were hacked to death in Kerala by CPI-M workers. All this happened with the knowledge of CM Pinarayi Vijayan. There should be a strong administration to stop this brutality,” George said.

It may be noted that it was Shone George’s petition in the Kerala High Court seeking to order a probe by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) on the illegal payments made to Chief Minister Vijayan’s daughter’s company and to others by the mining company Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL), ultimately led to handing over of the investigation to the agency, which probes corporate frauds of serious nature.
