Nafe Singh murder: London-based gangster Kapil Sangwan claims responsibility for killing INLD leader

United Kingdom-based gangster Kapil Sangwan on Wednesday claimed responsibility for killing of Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) Haryana chief Nafe Singh Rathee.

In a social media post, the ganster claimed that Rathee had a close relationship with his rival gangster Manjeet Mahal and used to work with the latter brother Sanjay in capturing properties.

“He supported Mahal in the murder of my brother-in-law and my friends,” he added.

He further threatened, “This will be the outcome for anyone who joins hands with my enemy. If anybody supports my enemies, I will support their enemies and all the 50 bullets will wait to take away that person’s life.”

The gangster pointed out that the entire Bahadurgarh knows the number of people Nafe Singh captured and killed while in power, adding to which he said, “No one could raise their voice because of his power.”

Last week, the Haryana Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) president was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Jhajjar on Sunday evening. Jaikishan, one of Rathee’s associates who were travelling with him was also killed in the attack, while two others are critically injured.

Rathee and his associates were reportedly travelling in an SUV when the gunmen, also in a car, open fire and fled the scene.

All the four men, including the INLD Haryana chief, were rushed to the nearby Brahma Shakti Sanjeevani Hospital where doctors declared two of them brought dead.

Dr Manish Sharma, Brahma Shakti Sanjeevani Hospital, said that Rathee and Jaikishan were shot in the neck, back and shoulder. The two other associates, who are admitted to the ICU, were had gunshot wounds on the shoulder, thigh, and left side of the chest.

INLD general secretary Abhay Singh Chautala held Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar responsible for his death. He said that Rathee had demanded security six months ago but was not given by the state government.

Meanwhile, the Haryana government has ordered a CBI investigation into the killing.
