BJP president J P Nadda will address a mega rally in Ghazipur on Friday at the launch of party’s Mission 2024 Lok Sabha polls. This will be his first political assignment as the BJP president after being given an extension till June, 2024.
The BJP rally to be held at the ITI grounds in Ghazipur at around 1:30 pm will be also addressed by UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath, his deputy Keshav Prasad Maurya and state BJP president Bhupendra Singh Choudhury.
BJP state president is already in Ghazipur to review the preparation of the rally.
The BJP has set a target to win all the 80 Lok Sabha seats in UP in the 2024 elections. In 2019, the party and its partners could win 64 seats. It also lost the Ghazipur seat to BSP’s Afzal Ansari, brother of mafia don Mukhtar Ansari.
Meanwhile, BJP national president Nadda will be given a rousing welcome in Varanasi even when he arrives for his two days visit. He will reach Varanasi at around 7 pm from New Delhi. He will be welcomed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and state party president Bhupendra Singh Choudhury.
On Friday morning , Nadda, along with Yogi, will worship at the Kashi Vishwanath temple and thereafter will leave for Ghazipur. In Varanasi, the local BJP workers will give a big welcome to Nadda by showering flower petals on his way from hotel to Kashi Vishwanath temple.
BJP President Nadda is slated to reach Ghazipur Police Line at 11:40 am on Friday and will directly go to Pavhari Baba Ashram where he will hold a meeting with BJP booth presidents.
He will meet ex-servicemen at a hotel at 12:25 pm to communicate and honour them.
Nadda will also address a public meeting at ITI ground at 1:30 pm and after that will reach BJP district office at 2.40 pm where he will hold a meeting with the office bearers of the Ghazipur Lok Sabha seating committee.
He will return back to Varanasi at around 2:30 pm before flying back to Delhi.
