MP CM criticises Rahul's yatra


Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav and his Cabinet ministers accompanied by their spouses visited the Ram Lalla Temple at Ayodhya on Monday afternoon.

While leaving for Ayodhya, Dr Yadav said in Bhopal that they are fortunate to be able to visit the temple in Ayodhya.

He said that it was a heartfelt wish to be able to pay obeisance at the Ram Lalla Temple along with his council of ministers and families.

Earlier in the morning, the CM chaired a meeting of the cabinet at the state secretariat here.

It was decided in the meeting to encourage governments of other states to build dharamshalas at various religious sites in MP for devotees from those states.

The Cabinet also decided to set up a sub-committee comprising the departments of religious affairs, revenue and culture to oversee the plans of development of temples and religious sites in rural and urban areas of MP.

The state government is also mulling to construct a dharamshala in Ayodhya for the devotees of MP visiting the Ram Temple there.

The CM said the state government’s aim is to develop temples and religious sites in MP, as places for social consciousness and harmony.

He said social events like mass weddings could be organized at temples to promote cultural heritage and traditions.
