The Budget Session of Madhya Pradesh State Assembly was today adjourned sine die, five days ahead of the schedule.
The Session, which began on 7 February, was scheduled to continue till 19 February. It was, however, curtailed and adjourned sine die today.
The Assembly session ran only for eight days. However, it was supposed to run for 13 days.
During the session, the house passed Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav-led BJP state government’s interim budget for four months, worth more than Rs 1.45 lakh crore.
Speaking in the house today, Chief Minister Dr Yadav praised the Opposition as well as members of the ruling benches. He also showered praises on Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar.
The CM said that the opposition party remained active and aware and it presented its issues in the house while the ruling party also answered all the issues effectively.
Dr Yadav pointed out that such a manner of the proceedings in the State Assembly is the beauty of democracy.
