Lashing out at the Opposition on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said for them it was always family first but for him, it is ‘nation first’ and promised that he will take India to new heights in the entire world.
”I am giving you a guarantee that in the next few years, we will make India, the third largest economy in the world… Today you are seeing how India is reaching new heights by becoming a ray of hope in the entire world,” he said addressing a public rally in Sangareddy.
Modi unveiled several development projects worth Rs 7,200 crore at Sangareddy in Telangana.
Continuing his onslaught of the INDI alliance for making ‘no family’ remark against him, he said,” ”Today, when Modi is busy fulfilling the guarantees given to you and your family, Congress and its allies have come out to abuse Modi and his family.”
On Sunday, launching a frontal attack on Modi in his recent comments on dynastic politics, RJD chief Lalu Prasad said Prime Minister Modi often attacks the Opposition over “Parivarwaad” since he himself has no family. “What can we do if Narendra Modi does not have a family of his own,” he asked.
In response to Lalu Prasad’s remark, Prime Minister Modi has said that 140 crore countrymen were his family.
He said that the leaders of INDIA alliance parties were fuming because he was questioning their dynastic politics and that the entire country was his family.
‘The reason for this is – because I am exposing their scams worth hundreds of thousands of rupees. I am raising my voice against the nepotism of these people,” he stated.
He said his party has fulfilled all promises. ”Be it the abrogation of Article 370 or the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, all the ‘guarantees’ that we gave, have been delivered,” he pointed out.
Modi said India is today the world’s fastest-growing economy and promised that ”Today, I want to give you one more guarantee- In upcoming years, we will make India the world’s third largest economy.”
“Today 140 crore people are committed to building a developed India and for a developed India, it is equally important to have modern infrastructure. In this year’s budget, we have given Rs 11 lakh crore for infrastructure. It is our endeavour that Telangana gets maximum benefit from it…,” he said.
Modi said, “Telangana is called the ‘Gateway for South India’. Work is being done on the electrification of railways. Six new stations have also been made. These developments will have a spillover effect on the economy of Telangana and the surrounding regions…”
Soon after the Prime Minister’s statement at a rally in Adilabad in Telangana yesterday, BJP leaders and ministers had changed their “X” profile name to read “Modi ka parivar” indicating a campaign similar to the “Main bhi chowkidar” launched by the Saffron party in the run-up to the 2019 general elections.
