Each day, there is a new turn in the Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar row. In another twist, the youth wing of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has threatened the makers of Indian TV reality show Bigg Boss stating the party would not take it lightly if Tanushree were allowed on the show.

There were rumours that Tanushree might enter the popular TV show that features people with controversial past or present.

The Aashiq Banaya Aapne actor has been in news of late ever since she alleged that Patekar misbehaved with her on the sets of the film ‘Horn Ok Pleasss’ ten years ago. She had made the allegations in 2008 too.

Recently, the actress also alleged that Raj Thackrey’s MNS had threatened her with a violent attack. “Amidst all this, the Mumbai police has reached out and offered their support. They have promised me 24 hours police protection and have posted their armed personnel around my home. I would like to thank the Mumbai police force for coming forward to protect me and helping me strengthen my resolve,” Tanushree Dutta’s team said.

While there were speculations that Dutta had been approached to be part of the show as a wildcard entry, there has been no official confirmation regarding the same.

The letter issued by MNS workers says Tanushree Dutta is making false allegations against renowned Marathi actors and MNS chief Raj Thackeray “for the sake of publicity” and “to enter Bigg Boss”. MNS would not tolerate any false allegations against party president Raj Thackeray, Marathi artistes and Marathi people in general, it said.

MNS also threatened to vandalise the Bigg Boss house if the makers roped in Tanushree, and that that they would stage a huge protest to stop the show.

On the other hand, Patekar is learnt to have sent a legal notice to Tanushree. However, the actress said she had not got any legal notice from the actor’s lawyer, adding that she was not afraid of it either.
