Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and MP Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday greeted the countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra.
“Warm greetings on the auspicious occasion of Dusshera, which is being celebrated in different parts of the country. It is a symbol of India’s unity in diversity and shared togetherness,” Kharge wrote on micro blogging site X.
He said the festivities remind one of the eternal message of victory of good over evil and mark the hope of a bright future.
Let there be fraternity, amity and harmony among everyone, Kharge, who is also the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, added.
Gandhi, in another social media post, wrote, “Best wishes to everyone on Vijayadashami, the festival of victory of good over evil. Falsehood and ego should be destroyed, truth and humanity should reside in everyone’s life. Happy Dussehra.”
Extending his greetings, Congress general secretary K C Venugopal said, “Wishing everyone a very Happy Vijayadhasami.”
“Let’s celebrate the triumph of good over evil and pledge to drive out the divisive and destructive forces wrecking havoc on India’s social fabric today,” he said.
The festival of Dussehra, also known as Vijayadashami, marks the victory of good over evil.
