Former Chief Executive Officer(CEO)  of the Life Mission project, UV Jose has stated before the sleuths of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) that  he has no involvement in financial transactions in the LIFE Mission project.

UV Jose  has reportedly stated that the documents were prepared by M Sivasankar and  he (Sivashankar) intervened to award the housing project contract to Unitac. Jose said that he didn’t  know whether there was any bribery behind the project.

Jose also told the ED sleuths that it was Sivasankar who introduced Santosh Eapan, the MD of Unitac, to him and that he signed the MoU with Red Crescent on the instructions of Sivasankar.

Since Jose was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)  of the LIFE  Mission project, his statement will be crucial in the case.

On Friday, when Sivasankar was interrogated sitting along with his chartered accountant Venugopal, Venugopal  gave a statement against Sivasankar.

Venugopal said  that  he  opened a bank locker for Swapna Suresh  on the instructions of Sivasankar and he did not know what was inside the locker.
