The police on Friday arrested a hardcore overground worker (OGW) of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba (LeT) outfit in the Handwara area of Kashmir and recovered a huge cache of ammunition and other material from the two terrorist hideouts identified by him.
Acting on a specific information, the police at Handwara arrested the OGW Affaq Ahmad Bhat who was engaged in providing logistic support to terrorist Abu Maaz of LeT.
Handwara police also busted two hideouts maintained by Affaq. Huge cache of ammunition including 1 pistol, 2 Pistol Magazines, 11 pistol rounds, 2 wireless sets, 1 Ysms set, 4 mobile sets, 1 UBGL thrower, 1 UBGL Grenade, 2 AK magazines, 105 AK rounds, 2 compass, 1 Binocular, 1 Wire cutter, 5 Battery chargers, 48 Batteries, First Aid (Made in Pakistan), medicines, cotton bandage, 2 Cooking Flames, 1 Perfume, 2 Maps, 1 Jacket, 2 Bags and cosmetics etc were recovered from the hideouts.
