The Communist Party of India (CPI) on Monday announced the names of its candidates for four Lok Sabha seats in Kerala.
The party will field senior leader Pannyan Raveendran from Thiruvanantapuram constituency.
National executive member Annie Raja will contest from Wayanad, and former Minister VS Sunil Kumar from Trissur constituency.
AIYF leader CA Arun Kumar will contest from Mavelikkara.
CPI state secretary Binoy Viswam officially announced the names of the candidates at a press conference here.
Pannian Raveendran had won Thiruvananthapuram seat in 2005 bypoll.
The CPI expects that the party can recapture the seat from the Congress through the candidature of Pannian.
In Thrissur, a tight triangular fight is anticipated with the Congress likely to field sitting MP T N Prathapan and the BJP considering actor and former Rajya Sabha member Suresh Gopi.
In Mavelikkara, the Congress is likely to field sitting MP Kodikkunnel Suresh against Arun Kumar.
