District Magistrate Sachin Kumar Vaishya and Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Vinod Kumar, on Friday, convened a meeting of sector officers and police sector officers here to discuss the action plan for the forthcoming parliamentary elections.
The DM urged officers to take proactive measures and foster seamless coordination in their duties. He emphasised the paramount importance of sensitivity mapping of polling stations and advocated for preemptive categorisation to ensure optimal security measures and the unhindered progress of the polling process.
In the meeting held the other day, the officers were briefed on their respective responsibilities. They were also briefed about Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and the crucial role they play in maintaining the integrity of the electoral process.
The SSP, Dr. Vinod Kumar, underscored the vital role of police officers in ensuring the smooth conduct of elections, instilling motivation and determination among the attendees.
Other officers present in the meeting were Additional District Magistrate, Shishir Gupta and SP North, Jammu, Shivam Siddharth among others.
