Kashmiri leaders from various political parties have demanded opening of more travel and religious routes in Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh as India and Pakistan decided to open the Kartarpur corridor through the Gurdaspur district of Punjab.

Mehbooba tweeted, “Wrote to PM @narendramodi for opening of Sharda Peeth route for facilitating the Pandit community. I hope like Kartarpur, this too will be considered for better peace & prosperity in the region”.
