Top district officers of Bandipura in North Kashmir had a miraculous escape on Saturday when the Pawanhans helicopter in which they were flying to the LOC areas to supervise polling for Panchayats developed some snag and made an emergency landing.
Reports said that the helicopter coming from Gurez with senior officers on board developed some technical snag after crossing the Razdan Pass and made emergency landing at Kanzalwan. All officers were safe.
The deputy commissioner, senior superintendent of police and the election observer were on board the helicopter. They were flying to the forward area of Gurez from Bandipura.
DC Shahid Iqbal Chaudhary told this correspondent that they have safely reached the destination.
