Bullet-ridden body of Muntazir Parrey, who was abducted by a group of Lashkar-e-Tayiba (LeT) terrorists last night from his father-in-law’s house in Hajin town of Bandipura, was on Tuesday found lying outside the town.

Police said that it has come to notice that local terrorist Mohammad Saleem Parrey has played a major role in the killing of the innocent civilian.

Five foreign terrorists affiliated with LeT, Abu Muslim, Hubaib, Khalid, Abu Hamza and Haider are also involved in the killing, police said.

Suspecting him of being a police informer, a group of terrorists of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba (LeT) barged into the house of Farooq Ahmad Parrey in the Hajin town of Bandipura in North Kashmir and kidnapped his son-in-law Muntazir Parrey after grievously injuring the womenfolk and others in the house with bullets and knives. Police said on Tuesday that the attack occurred late Monday night.

Farooq’s daughters, Rafeeqa and Neelofar and brother Hilal Ahmad Parrey were grievously injured in the attack. Rafeeqa has suffered a bullet injury, police said.

It is pertinent to mention that Farooq’s son Muzaffar Ahmad Parrey, who was reportedly an overground worker (OGW) of LeT, was last year ruthlessly killed by terrorists and his decapitated body thrown into a river.

The security forces had eliminated a number of Pakistani and local terrorists in encounters in the Hajin area during the past four months on the basis of reliable inputs about their presence in various villages of the area.

Police said that at about 10.10 pm last night, four terrorists armed with automatic rifles and knives barged into the house of Farooq in the Par Mohalla of Hajin and indiscriminately fired at the inmates. Police have launched a massive search for the kidnapped person.
