IP University organise a Special Convocation to confer honorary doctorate to Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of the Co – Operative Republic of Guyana in the field of Management Studies at Dwarka campus.
Vinai Kumar Saxena,Lt. Governor of Delhi & Chancellor of the University presided over the Special Convocation and said that he is a brand ambassador of Indian education system.
The Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma said, it is really a matter of pride to confer the honorary doctorate to the President of Guyana as he is an illustrious alumnus of the University. He has obtained his Masters degree in 2003 in Human Resourse Planning & Development conducted by NILERD(formely IAMR), an earlier affiliated college of the University.
Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali is regarded as one of the prominent global voices for the welfare of the Indian diaspora.
Prior to this, the University has conferred two honorary doctorates in two routine Convocations – Sh. E. Sreedharan, the then Managing Director of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. in 2010 in the field of Management Studies and Sh. Brijmohan Lall Munjal of ‘Hero group’ in the field of Engineering & Technology in 2011.
