With the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet according its approval air services between various cities of the state can take off soon.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the Council of Ministers of MP headed by Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav.
The cabinet approved the proposal of the State Tourism Department for intrastate air connectivity. The proposal is to operate air services in various cities of the state in collaboration with private operators under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
The Council of Ministers also approved the operation of Pradhan Mantri e-Bus Seva Yojana in the state to expand the infrastructure of city bus services in cities and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Under the PM e-Bus Scheme, 552 urban e-buses would be operated on PPP model in 6 urban bodies of the state, namely Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ujjain and Sagar.
The cabinet also gave its nod for the sixth pay scale benefits for teachers and employees of aided non-government institutions in the Scheduled Caste Welfare Department with effect from January 1, 2006.
