Age limit
• The candidates who are interested in applying for the posts should not be below 25 years and not above 34 years of age.
Academic qualification:
• Pandit: The candidates applying for this posts, should be Hindu with Acharya in Sanskrit or Shastri in Sanskrit along with a one-year diploma in ‘Karam Kand
• Granthi: The candidate applying for this post should be a sikh candidates with Gyani in Punjabi
• Maulvi (Sunni and Shia): The candidate applying for this post should be muslims with Maulvi Alim in Arabic or Adib Alim in Urdu
• Padre:The candidate applying for this post should be a christian candidate who have been ordained priesthood by the appropriate ecclesiastical authority.
• Bodh Monk (Mahayaana): The candidate applying for Buddhist (Mahayana) should have been ordained Monk/Buddhist Priest by the appropriate authority
Job Profile
• Selected candidates will be required to attend funerals, minister to the sick in hospitals, read prayers with the convalescents, and visit soldiers undergoing sentence. The job profile It also entails giving special religious instructions to children and enlisted boys besides attending to religious institutions and welfare of the soldiers and their families.
