Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that for the last 8-9 years, the country was trying to empower every section that has remained deprived and neglected with the mantra of ‘precedence to the deprived”.
Addressing a crowded meeting at the Bhilwara district on Saturday, Modi spoke on the Central government schemes of ‘free ration’ to everyone, Ayushman health scheme, water from tap to 11 crore families in last 3 and half years, Kisan Card to pasupalak, setting up of the Rashtriya Kamdhenu Ayog, and Goverdhan scheme to uplift the people.
The Prime Minister counted that the 21st century is significant for the development of Rajasthan and said that the Government emphasised the need to unite and work for the development of the country. “Today the whole world is looking towards India with great hope”, said the Prime Minister.
He, further, praised the contribution of the Gurjar community people saying that be it in national defence or preservation of culture, the Gurjar community has played the role of protector in every period. “Now India is rectifying the mistakes of the past decades and honouring its unsung heroes”, he added.
The mammoth rally was organized in Bhilwara to commemorate the 1111th ‘Avataran Mahotsav’ of Bhagwan Shri Devnarayan at Malaseri Dungri in the district, where he performed special prayer.
“We have to live up to the expectations of the world by proving our resolutions”, PM said as he expressed faith in succeeding with the blessings of Bhagwan Devnarayanji and ‘Sabka Prayas’ (everyone’s efforts) while addressing a mammoth rally of devotees.
PM said that it was a coincidence that Bhagwan Devnarayanji, who appeared on a lotus, India assumed the presidency of G-20 whose logo also shows the lotus carrying the earth.
Recalling the ‘Paanch Prans’ during his address to the nation on Independence Day last year, he said, “Objective of taking pride in our own heritage, breaking the slavery mentality, keeping our responsibilities towards the nation in mind, remembering the martyrdom of the freedom fighters and walking the path shown by our ancestors”.
Throwing light on the contributions of the strength of the society in the thousand-year-old journey of India, the PM noted the energy that stems from within the society in every period of history and acts as the guiding light for everyone.
He recounted Shri Devnarayan’s devotion to the people’s welfare and his choice of service to humanity. “Path shown by Bhagwan Devnarayan is of ‘Sabka Vikas’ through ‘Sabka Saath’ and the country, today, is following the same path”.
Union Minister of State for Culture, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Head Priest of Malaseri Dungri, Shri Hemraj Gurjar and Member of Parliament, Subhas Chandra Baheria among others were present on the occasion. Priest Hemraj and Suresh Das of Sawai Bhoj welcomed the PM by offering a shawl and a memento of Bhagwan Devnarayan lying on a lotus.
Malaseri Dungri in Bhilwara district has a famous temple of Shree Devnarayan, the deity of Gurjar community. About 12 kms away Asind town in Bhilwara district, Malaseri Dungri holds great religious importance for the Gurjar community because it is the birth place of Shree Devnarayan.
