IITF set to open for general public from November 19


The ongoing 41st India International Trade Fair (IITF) at Pragati Maidan in the National Capital, which offers an ideal platform to showcase Indian products under the ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign, will be thrown open for the general public from November 19 and will conclude on November 27.

The IITF, which commenced from November 14, was strictly restricted to Business Visitors till November 18.

The IITF will open for all visitors from November 19 onwards after initial five days pronounced exclusively for business visitors, an official said.

“The timings of the fair are 10.00 am to 7.30 pm from November 19-26 and 10.00 am to 4.30 pm on November 27,” the official said.

The visitors are advised to cooperate and plan their visit by purchasing tickets in advance from their originating Metro Stations and online through ITPO’s website so as to avoid any inconvenience.  However, tickets are also available at 67 select Metro stations except the Supreme Court Metro Station (no sale of entry tickets at Pragati Maidan Gates).

This year, entry of the visitors will be facilitated only through Gates Number 4, (on Bhairon Road) and Gate Number 10 (Supreme Court Metro Station). There is no parking inside Pragati Maidan. Paid parking is available at Bhairon Road for visitors, the official said.

Nearly 2500 exhibitors from India and abroad are participating in the 41st edition of IITF. It is being held over a total area of 73,000 sq mtr.

Exhibitors from 29 States and Union Territories are participating in the IITF.

Leh Ladakh is participating for the first time this year in the IITF.

Exhibitors from 12 countries including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Belarus, Iran, Nepal, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, UK are participating in the 41st IITF.

As in the past, State Day celebrations, seminars and cultural programmes are among the added attractions to the visitors in the 41st IITF.
