IED dropped by Pakistani drone recovered by BSF in Kathua

An improvised explosive device (IED) dropped by a Pakistani drone during midnight, was recovered on Thursday by the BSF in the Kathua district of Jammu.
 
The drone reportedly flew deep into the Indian territory to drop the IED.
 
A BSF spokesman said at midnight at about 00:45 am, alert troops of BSF Jammu observed drone movement in the depth area of village Manihari under Rajbagh police station of Kathua district and engaged the drone by fire. Subsequently the area was searched and recovery of IED dropped  by the drone was made. 
 
Troops have been put on high alert along the border, the spokesperson added.
