Hyderabad fraudster involved in cheating in Bhubaneswar arrested in Jammu


In a significant achievement, the Jammu Police, on Thursday, apprehended a notorious fraudster from Hyderabad accused of cheating people in Bhubaneswar (Odisha).

The police identified the alleged fraudster as Shaheensha Shareef, who was involved in multiple cases of cheating, fraud, and rape across Telangana and Odisha.

The police said during a routine patrol in the Dogra Chowk area here, a police party led by SHO Police Station Nowabad noticed the suspect moving suspiciously. Upon questioning, he failed to provide a satisfactory response and was subsequently taken into custody.

Upon further interrogation, Shareef revealed his true identity. The Jammu Police immediately contacted Hyderabad authorities and uncovered that the accused was involved in 10 FIRs related to rape, cheating, fraud, and criminal breach of trust in various police stations in Telangana, as well as one FIR of cheating in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

He was also absconding in a rape case from Hyderabad.

Following necessary legal procedures, the accused was handed over to the Hyderabad Police, who had traveled to Jammu upon learning of his arrest.

The Jammu Police reiterated its commitment to keeping the city safe by preventing and tackling crime at all levels.
