Known for her prompt responses on Twitter, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj once again extended a hand of help to an Indian stranded in Saudi Arabia.

Swaraj has assured help to a man identified as Ali, who has been seeking the help of the Indian embassy in Riyadh for the last one year to get back to India. The man had also threatened to commit suicide.

“sir ek bat bateyn app log ki meri madat karsakte Ho ki mujhe khud kusi karleni chahye taqreeban 12 maheeno se guhar laga raha hun main embassy se lekin embassy samjha rahi hai mere ko theek agar mujhe India bhejwa sakte ho to maher bani hogi kyun ki mere 4bacche bhi hain sir (sic),” Ali had tweeted.

However, the tweet has been removed from Twitter.

Replying to the rescue call, Sushma Swaraj tweeted, “‘Khud kusi’ ki baat nahin sochte. Hum hain na. Hamari Embassy aapki poori madad karegi”. She also asked the Indian authorities in Riyadh to send a report on the matter.

Swaraj has been known for rushing to the aid of Indians who are settled or stranded abroad.

Last month, Swaraj had reached out to the family of a couple who was allegedly stabbed near Munich in Germany. The man died and his wife sustained injuries after they were stabbed by an immigrant near Munich.
