Himachal ‘Revenue Lok Adalat’ resolves 40 year-old mutation case

The ‘Revenue Lok Adalat’ turned out a big relief to a farmer from Jaqalamukhi Assembly Constituency (AC), Birbal Sharma, whose mutation case pending for the last 40 years was resolved within no time.

He thanked Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for the initiative of starting the Intekaal – Revenue Lok Adalat during the ‘Sarkar Gaon Ke Dwar’ programme organised at Amb Pathiyar in Jwalamukhi AC on Thursday.

He expressed happiness to have witnessed Vyavastha parivartan in the state.

Birbal Sharma demanded setting up of a bamboo-based industry in Jwalamukhi or Nadaun assembly constituency as bamboo production was very high in lower Himachal.

This would immensely benefit the farmers of the area, said the farmer. The chief minister interacted with the beneficiaries of various state government schemes during the programme.

Milkhi Ram and Madan Lal, the beneficiaries of the disaster relief package, also met the chief minister and said his house had collapsed due to rain and after receiving a financial assistance of Rs 3 lakh as the first installment from the state government.

The chief minister apprised them that the remaining amount of Rs 7 lakh would be released to the beneficiary after the first installment is fully utilized and also free water and electricity connection would also be provided.

Meanwhile, a beneficiary of the Chief Minister Sukh Ashraya Yojana, Amit, also met Sukhu and thanked him for starting the schemes and for the various benefits being provided under it.

He said that he was getting Rs. 4,000 monthly as pocket money under the scheme.

Another beneficiary, Priyanka, thanked the Chief Minister for assisting her under the scheme.

Sukhu ensured her that the government would bear entire expenses of her education and for pursuing B.Ed.
