Haryana Right to Service (RTS) Commission has imposed a penalty of Rs 20 thousand against a bank manager of Haryana Gramin Bank, Hassangarh, Hisar for delaying a service to an eligible beneficiary under Mukhya Mantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana (MMAPUY) in time bound manner.
The RTS secretary said an appeal was raised through an Auto Appeal system in a case where the appellant has applied for a loan benefit under ‘Scheme for Establishment of Mini Dairy/Hi-Tech Dairy units’ which comes under the preview of Right to Service.
He said the Commission immediately took cognizance of the matter and ordered a detailed inquiry. A suo-moto notice was furnished to the bank manager and the concerned sub-divisional officers of animal husbandry and dairying department were called to appear for the hearing.
“The investigation exposed various disparities in coordination between the bank and the Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department. It was also analysed that lack of transparency prevails in dealing with applications by the banks disbursing loans,” the secretary said.
“Considering all the facts, the Commission imposed a penalty of Rs 20,000 on the bank manager for not providing a satisfactory response to the appellant beneficiary,” he added.
RTS Commissioner said Mukhya Mantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana (MMAPUY) is an ambitious scheme launched by Haryana government in order to uplift the standard of living of the poor people of the state.
