Former Telangana chief minister and BRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao was admitted to a hospital here after he sustained an injury, sources said on Friday.

His condition is stable. He reportedly fell in the bathroom Thursday night and suffered a fracture. He was staying at his farmhouse in Erravelli in Siddipet district after he vacated Pragathi Bhavan following the poll debacle.

“BRS supremo KCR Garu sustained a minor injury and is currently under expert care in the hospital. With the support and well-wishes pouring in, Dad will be absolutely fine soon,” his daughter and party MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha said on social media.

For the past few days, KCR, as he is popularly known, has been meeting his constituents in large numbers.

Just before elections, Rao had suffered the first viral infection followed by a secondary bacterial infection which had kept him out of public eye for more than two weeks. The 69-year-old leader addressed more than 96 public rallies in the just concluded assembly elections.
