Former Prime Minister and architect of liberalization, PV Narasimha Rao has figured in the Congress party’s official hoardings and posters.

Various hoardings, posters and newspaper advertisements about the 85th Plenary Session of the Congress party being held at Raipur, were replete with a surprising feature with former PM late P V Narasimha Rao making a place of pride there.

His pictures were placed along with the likes of former Congress President Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Sarojini Naidu, former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi in the advertisements issued to various media outlets.

Above this galaxy were the fountainheads of our freedom struggle – Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, Dr BR Ambedkar and Jawaharlal Nehru.

PV Narashima Rao is credited with infusing a fresh lease of life into the ailing socialist-era Indian economy through introducing the free market and globalization in the country with the help of his Finance Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.
