An FIR has been registered here against Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s personal assistant Sandeep Singh for death threat given by him to an actor and dalit woman Congress leader.

Bigg Boss 16 finalist and former Hastinapur candidate Archana Gautam, who went to participate in the Congress Plenary in Chhattisgarh’s Raipur, was allegedly threatened by Sandeep. Besides, caste-based slurs have also been used against the Dalit leader.

On a complaint of Archana Gautam’s father, a case has been registered against the Congress national general secretary’s PA under different sections of the IPC.

On 26 February 2023, the Bigg Boss 16 finalist went to attend the convention in Raipur on the invitation of Priyanka Vadra’s PA Sandeep Singh.

In the conference, Archana Gautam had sought time from Sandeep Singh to meet Priyanka, but Sandeep refused to oblige.  Later, he used casteist and indecent slurs and threatened to kill Archana in front of everyone at the convention stage itself.

Archana Gautam’s father informed the police that video evidence of the entire incident is also available. In the complaint, it was claimed that Gautam has suffered mental trauma due to the behaviour of Singh.

Gautam’s father Gautam Buddha, who lives in Sushant City Sector 3, has pleaded for his daughter’s safety in the police complaint.

Now, the police has registered a FIR under Section 504, 506 and 509 of IPC, section 3(1)(d) and 3(1) of SC/ST Act 1989 (Amendment 2015) against Priyanka Vadra’s PA Sandeep Singh at Partapur police station on the orders of SSP.

SSP Rohit Sajwan said here on Tuesday that the incident is of Raipur in Chhattisgarh and on behalf of a complaint made by Archana Gautam’s father, a case has been registered at Partapur police station.

“We have started the investigation and very soon a police team will be sent to Raipur to check the evidence, ” SSP said.
