Station House Officer (SHO) of Farsh Bazar Police Station of the Shahdara district has been sent to the District Line on the charges of not taking proper action on unauthorised occupation of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) land. It is being said that Inspector Vikram Singh had been appointed the SHO for the first time.
A senior police officer of the Shahdara district said that the Deputy Commissioner of Police has ordered to send the inspector to the District Police Line. The matter was related to the alleged illegal occupation of DDA land, and even after several instructions from the senior officials, the SHO didn’t register a case in the matter.
According to the police officer, a complaint regarding illegal occupation of the DDA land in Farsh Bazaar Market was received from the authority itself and the matter was pending for a very long time.
It is alleged that on the basis of the complaint, the local police had got the place vacated using force, but no FIR was registered in the matter for legal action. Senior officials directed the SHO several times but the SHO did not register the FIR.
Taking the indiscipline as a serious matter of concern, the senior official sent the SHO to the District Police Line. No official statement has been issued by the District Police on the incident.
