The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday raided premises linked to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s personal secretary Bibhav Kumar, and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP ND Gupta in connection with a money laundering probe related to the Jal Board case.

The central probe agency had last month arrested Jagdish Kumar Arora, the former chief engineer of the Delhi Jal Board. The probe agency claims that Arora awarded a contract worth Rs 38 crore to NKG Infrastructure Ltd, despite the company not meeting technical eligibility criteria.

The probe agency also alleged that the firm in question had submitted forged documents to earn the contract.

Meanwhile, AAP leader Atishi has claimed that the raids were being conducted after her announcement of a big expose on ED.

Atishi said that the raids are aimed at stopping the expose and scare AAP. She also claimed the probe agency has not recovered even a single rupee in the last two years.

“In the last 2 years of investigation, not even Rs 1 has been recovered, ED has not found even a single solid evidence,” she claimed.

The Delhi minister also claimed that ED is deleting audio recordings and CCTV footage of its interrogation of AAP leaders.

“The entire case rests only on statements, and now it has also come to light that there is fraud in the testimony. To hide this fraud, ED is now deleting the audio recording of the CCTV footage,” she alleged.

The ED raids comes days after the agency moved court against Delhi CM Kejriwal over non compliance of summons in connection with the excise policy case. The AAP chief has evaded ED summons on five occassions.
