‘Do remember, 5 PM this evening for 5 minutes…’: PM Modi’s reminder to nation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday again appealed to the nation to express gratitude to those who are working in the condition when the deadly coronavirus has taken the entire planet in its grip.

In a tweet, PM Modi posted a video of his address to the nation on Thursday regarding the ‘Janata Curfew’.

“Do remember, 5 PM this evening for 5 minutes… Be on your terraces, balconies or windows to express gratitude to all those who are working 24/7 so that our nation becomes free from COVID-19,” he tweeted.

PM Modi urged the nation to express gratitude to doctors, nurses, police, media persons and all other workers in different sectors who are at the fore front in this global crisis.

On Janata Curfew, the nation has witnessed a significant lockdown as the railways services, Metro, public places are shut across the nation.

Right before the beginning of the Janata Curfew, PM Modi said it will “add tremendous strength to the fight against COVID-19 menace. The steps we take now will help in the times to come.”

He tweeted, “In a few minutes from now, the Janta Curfew commences. Let us all be a part of this curfew, which will add tremendous strength to the fight against COVID-19 menace. The steps we take now will help in the times to come. Stay indoors and stay healthy.  India Fights Corona”

As of now, the cases of infected people soared to 343 with six deaths reported.
