Disgruntled MP Congressmen recite Hanuman Chalisa

Upset over the choice of a candidate, several Congress workers on Monday carried out a Hanuman Chalisa Path in front of Madhya Pradesh Congress Chief Kamal Nath’s house in Bhopal.

The Congress workers from Huzur assembly constituency in Bhopal conducted the Hanuman Chalisa on the occasion of Dussehra with the hope of some divine intervention to persuade the party to change the Congress candidate, Naresh Gyanchandani, from Huzur assembly seat.

Some of the Congress workers present at the spot claimed that Naresh Gyanchandani is an extremely weak candidate and even if the Congress workers tried with all their might, he won’t be able to win the seat.

They also alleged that the ticket in Huzur assembly has not been given on the basis of the party’s internal survey.

They also asserted that they have been praying to Lord Hanuman to ensure a victory for the Congress so that Kamal Nath again becomes the Chief Minister of MP.

The Congress has named Naresh Gyanchandani against BJP MLA and strong contender from the Huzur seat Rameshwar Sharma.

The voting for the MP Assembly polls would take place on 17 November.
