Top brass of National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Jammu and Kashmir Police held discussions on the terror-separatist ecosystem in the Union Territories and worked out plans to improve upon existing levels of cooperation to curb terrorism.
NIA Director General Dinkar Gupta and J&K DGP RR Swain led the deliberations.
The NIA chief visited the police headquarters here where the top brass of the probe agency and J&K Police exchanged ideas and insights regarding terrorism, terrorist-separatist ecosystem and new network of the national security adversaries in J&K to sustain the dwindling edifice of Pakistan sponsored anti-India campaign.
Gupta was accompanied by NIA Inspector General Vijay Sakhare and NIA Deputy Inspector General Amit Kumar. ADGP Headquarter PHQ, MK Sinha; ADGP Armed, law & Order Vijay Kumar; IGP (POS) PHQ BS Tuti; DIG SIA, Dr Ajeet Singh Salaria and SSP NIA, Jammu Sandeep Choudhary were present during the interaction.
The officers deliberated upon updates on ongoing investigation of terror crime cases and action plans to take them to logical conclusion.
The officers further decided in the meeting that in pursuit of curbing terrorism, sharing of information and expertise plays an important role and therefore worked out plans to improve upon existing levels of cooperation. Coordination in matters of training, court cases and deputation of personnel were also discussed.
