Dera chief’s ‘angel’ Honeypreet tops Haryana’s 43 most-wanted list

Gurmeet Ram Rahim close aide Honeypreet Kaur tops the list of 43 most-wanted in Haryana, after the state police released the list on their official website Monday.

The Haryana Police have booked Honeypreet Kaur for sedition and being allegedly involved in a conspiracy to help Ram Rahim escape after his conviction.

The police have issued a lookout notice against her and raids are being conducted in various states to nab her.

Honeypreet, is considered closest to Ram Rahim, and has been his heroine in the five films that he has directed, produced and acted in, in the last three years.

Dera spokesman, Aditya Insan, is also on the list. He is also absconding and is wanted for sedition.

Photographs of 43 suspects responsible for instigating or indulging in the large-scale violence have been released.

The photographs have mostly been obtained from video footage of TV news channels, police videos and CCTV cameras installed at various places in Panchkula.

The police have not been able to identify the accused by name so far.

Violence and arson by followers of Ram Rahim’s Dera Sacha Sauda sect left 38 people dead on August 25, after a court in Panchkula held the Gurmeet guilty of raping his two women followers inside dera headquarters in Haryana’s Sirsa.

The dera chief is serving a 20-year jail term.
