A 27-year-old woman journalist was allegedly filmed from a hidden camera, while trying clothes in the trial room of a high-end lingerie store in south Delhi’s M-block market in Greater Kailash-II.

The shopkeeper and another man were watching her live, said the journalist.

An FIR was filed three days after the incident took place, ie on August 31, at the Greater Kailash police station under section 354 C (voyeurism) and Indian penal Code (IPC).

Police said that they are verifying the facts. No arrests have been made yet in this matter.

In her complaint the scribe alleged that she selected some clothes from the shop and went to a trial room to try them. Ten minutes later, a woman attendant came and asked her to go to another room. The attendant told her that, “there is a camera in the room.”

“I asked the shop owner and other staff members in the shop that if there is a camera here in the room then why was I directed to go to that room, but no one replied. When I called the police the shop owner called his son and deleted the video,” she stated in her complaint.

According to the shopkeeper, she was mistakenly sent to the storeroom rather than the trial room.

Police is investigating the matter and further action is underway.
