Lieutenant Governor Delhi VK Saxena on Tuesday flagged-off the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Delhi’s Khajuri Khas area to create awareness and ensure the developmental and welfare schemes under Prime Minister Narendra reach the people.
This awareness drive will include information and communication vans that will go across districts of Delhi, covering over 600 locations.
The L-G along with the Delhi MPs and senior officials also took the Viksit Bharat Sankalp pledge on the occasion.
Addressing the people, the L-G informed about the various schemes launched by the Central government for the people like the PM Awas, Ayushman Bharat scheme and others.
He stressed that the goal of the Yatra is to disseminate information and create awareness about the various welfare schemes launched by the centre under PM Modi’s leadership.
Meanwhile, PM Modi had launched the Yatra on November 15, as the nation’s aim is to be a developed country by the year 2047.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has been started to create awareness and ensure people’s participation in the developmental schemes.
Under the campaign, urban bodies and district administration will be organizing on-the-spot camps like PM Svanidhi Camp, Health Camp, Ayushman Card camp, Aadhar updation camp, PM Ujjwala camp at various locations of the city.
The objective of the Yatra is also to learn from the citizens by interacting with beneficiaries of welfare schemes, as people will be able to share their experiences.
A large number of people were present who witnessed the flagging-off event.
