Big relief to AAP as Delhi court grants bail to Arvind Kejriwal in money laundering case

A Delhi Court on Thursday granted bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the money laundering case linked to the alleged excise policy scam.

The Directorate of Enforcement’s counsel had requested for stay of the order, however, the court rejected.

The order was passed by the Special Judge of Rouse Avenue Courts on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh after reserving it earlier on Thursday, and the bail bond is to be produced before Duty judge on Friday.

AAP legal team Advocate Rishikesh Kumar, in a video message said that the order of granting bail to Delhi CM was pronounced at Rouse Avenue court at 8 pm on Thursday, on Friday morning, the bail proceedings will be carried out and by afternoon, Delhi CM will likely come out of jail, he added.

Taking to social media platform X, AAP Chief National Spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar wrote, “BJP lost again!” while AAP leader and Delhi Minister Atishi wrote, “Satyamev Jayate.

Taking to X Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann wrote, ” We have faith in the court..Bail for Kejriwal ji..victory of truth..”

AAP chief was arrested by the ED on the night of March 21 from his official residence after questioning in connection with the alleged Delhi excise policy scam linked money laundering case.

On May 10, Kejriwal was granted interim bail by the Supreme Court till June 1, to take part in campaigning for the Lok Sabha polls, and he had surrendered on June 2 at Tihar jail to the concerned authorities.
