Decomposed beheaded male body found in North West Delhi

The recovery of beheaded body of a male in highly-decomposed condition in the Bharat Nagar area of North-West Delhi, the incident pushed another panic button on Saturday amid the hue and cry around the Shraddha Walker and Pandav Nagar murder cases in the National Capital.

The dead body has been shifted to the mortuary of a hospital and efforts are on to identify the deceased.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North West Delhi) Usha Rangnani said information about the incident was received at the Bharat Nagar police station on Saturday. The caller informed that an unidentified dead body of a male is lying in Mori Wala Bagh , near Teachers Park located at Nimri Colony.

On receiving the information, a police immediately reached the spot, where one unidentified beheaded male dead body of about 40 years of age was found lying in highly putrefied condition. The dead body was likely to be more than four weeks old.

The head of the deceased was found lying separately at some distance, which seems primarily due to decomposition of the body, as dogs and mongoose appeared trying to tear the parts of the decomposed body.

Police have started investigating the matter and efforts are being made to identify the deceased.
