Country’s first innovation think tank lab established at Era Medical College

Era Medical College has joined hands with Europe’s largest German company Siemens Healthineers in order to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of self-reliant India and to promote skill development, the ambitious plan of the Central and State Government.
Era Lucknow Medical College has set up Innovation Think Tank (ITT) Lab in partnership with Siemens Healthineers in its campus. This lab will be the first laboratory in the country, which has been established in Era Medical College, Lucknow.
This lab will be an incubation center where researchers, faculty members and students can find solutions to healthcare challenges through cutting-edge technologies. The lab will be operated by Era Medical College and German company Siemens Healthineers will provide assistance in its operation.
The Innovation Think Tank Lab is part of the Siemens Healthineers Chief Technology Office whose main work is invention and research. This lab will reflect on the local problems related to the medical field and on the basis of its suggestions, will inspire the invention of such a device through which human life can be improved.
Siemens Healthineers company helps in making the devices invented after research recognized globally.
With the establishment of this lab in Lucknow, inventions can be made to solve the local challenges of the medical sector. Apart from this, the program of skill development can also be taken forward. The lab will provide a dynamic environment for young people with a future in healthcare to develop professionally.
In order to establish this lab, a five-day program was conducted at Era Lucknow Medical College, in which students and researchers from various foreign universities including IIT, BHU, IIM and VIT participated. During this, various challenges related to the medical field were discussed and suggestions were given.
Speaking on the occasion, Era University Chancellor Mohsin Ali Khan said here on Thursday that Era Lucknow Medical College has always promoted research and innovation, which has resulted in enhanced training of medical students and improved patient care.
On the other hand, Professor Sultan Haider, founder and Global Head of Innovation Think Tank, who came from Germany, said that Era is the first medical college in India, where Innovation Think Tank Lab has been established. ” In order to establish this lab, we had done a program here a year ago, now we are doing another program, in which students and researchers from different universities of the country and abroad have participated,” he said.
Haider said that the aim of this lab is to develop the environment of the future of healthcare, so that the challenges of the future can be met. The ideas that come out of this lab will be taken to the people in the form of inventions. He said that this is such a program in which experts not only from the medical world but also from other fields would participate.
