With the Lok Sabha elections drawing closer, the Delhi unit of the Congress announced here on Tuesday appointment of office bearers through a talent-hunt programme –  “Pratibha to Parivartan’’.

The “Pratibha to Parivartan’’ has been launched with a view to facilitate young people to make a career in politics.

Addressing a press conference at the party office, Delhi Congress president Arvinder Singh Lovely said that the Congress has opened its doors to talented young people keen to make a career in politics through its innovative talent-hunt programme

The programme, he said would give an opportunity to the people who shy away from politics to be associated themselves with the party, and also do social service.

“In the talent-hunt programme, qualified professionals and common people will be given an opportunity to associate with the party to make a career in politics, who could not otherwise make their entry into politics for various reasons,” he said.

Lovely said a team of party office bearers would be appointed through interviews and group discussions to entrust responsibilities at the Pradesh Congress, district, block and mandal levels.

He also announced the formation of two committees consisting of three members each and a two-member committee to coordinate at the AICC level under the “Pratibha to Parivartan” scheme.

“After completing the initial process, experts in various subjects will select suitable candidates after screening and interviews, to be appointed in various posts. In the coming month, through the talent hunt process, spokespersons, social media experts, content writers, graphic designers, RTI experts, street play team etc will be finalised,” Lovely said.

The Delhi Congress chief said the talent-hunt scheme would be given wide publicity through social media and other publicity platforms so that more and more people could be part of this process.

It may be mentioned here that the grand old party drew a blank in Delhi in the 2019 General Elections.
