Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday hit out at the Congress for questioning his government’s surgical strikes in Pakistan even when the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks occurred when the UPA was in power.
He said the Congress was back then was giving lessons in patriotism
“The whole world was shaken today(26/11), and Congress back then was giving lessons in patriotism. When the Army carried out surgical strike the country felt proud but the Congress raised questions on it, demanded video proof,” PM Modi said while addressing a rally in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara.
The prime minister was addressing an election rally in Bhilwara on the tenth anniversary of the 26/11 terror strike when 10 Pakistani terrorists sneaked into Mumbai, killing 166 people over 60 hours.
PM Modi further assured that justice will be done to the victims of the dastardly attack and the perpetrators will be punished.
“India will never forget 26/11 attack, and neither forget the perpetrators. Justice will surely be done, I want to assure the country,” he said.
Modi said his government has responded to terrorists and Naxals in their own language, adding that the Congress calls Naxals revolutionaries and then issues them certificates.
Earlier, in an election rally in Chhattisgarh, PM Modi had accused the Congress of shielding the urban Maoists in the state.

Further taking a jibe at Congress President Rahul Gandhi for going on holidays, PM Modi said, “Did you ever hear that I took a holiday? Did you ever hear I went somewhere for leisure or was missing for a week? I give an account of each and every decision I take and the work that I do”.
The Rajasthan elections will be held on December 7 and the votes counted on December 11.
