Congress ki loot, zindagi ke saath bhi, zindagi ke baad bhi: Modi targets oppn

Campaigning in Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday showed he will not soften his attack on the Congress for its “agenda” to give reservation benefit to Muslims and to impose an inheritance tax that will take away half of people’s savings after their death.

“The Congress has its evil eyes on your savings and property; the Congress mantra is Congress ki loot, zindagi ke saath bhi loot, zindagi ke baad bhi loot (Congress wants to loot you, during your life and after),” he said.

Addressing a large BJP election rally in Sagar, he said the Congress has made up its mind to cut 15 per cent quota of SCs, STs and OBCs and give it to the Muslims all over the country. The party had done this earlier when it came to power in Karnataka, but the BJP government which succeeded it, ended this “attack on Ambedkar’s Constitution.”

Once again, the Prime Minister said, the Congress government in the State has “criminally” deprived the OBCs of their rightful share in reservation benefits. In a clever move, the party has brought all castes of Muslims in the OBC quota so that they can be extended the reservation benefit.

He said this revelation has numbed every citizen of the country. The Constitution clearly prohibits reservation on religion basis. Constitution architect Babasaheb Ambedkar himself was against this, but the Congress, year after year, tried to do this by different “tricks.”

The Congress “stabbed” Ambedkar and the Constitution in the back, in 2004 to give reservation on the basis of religion in Andhra Pradesh. The party’s election manifestoes in 2009 or 2014 promised reservation on the basis of religion. “It is clear the party has done all “preparations” to cut 15 per cent quota of SC, ST and OBC to implement reservation on the basis of religion,” Mr Modi said.

He said the Congress has “snatched” a big part of the OBCs’ valid share and given it to the Muslims. The Congress wants to implement this “formula” all over the country, he said. “I ask you, should this be not stopped, should their plans be not foiled, should not the country be woken up on this,” the Prime Minister said.

The Congress is the biggest enemy of the OBCs, as the party has snatched their legal right, he said. The party has “murdered” social justice and hurt the Constitution and insulted Ambedkar, he said.

The Congress party is asking why does he talk about “400 paar,” he said. Mr Modi said “you are depriving Dalits, Adivasis and OBCs of their rights and Modi needs 400 seats to protect their rights. I am determined to protect their rights,” he said.

The Prime Minister said the Congress does not stop here only, the party wants to “snatch your property, do X-rays to find out your hidden money in lockers or homes; searching money in food boxes, jewelry, ‘mangal-sutras’, and then snatch all this to redistribute these among others.”

“Do you accept this, if you have a house in village and another in a city, one of the two will be taken by the Congress government, one of your two cars also, do you accept this, will you allow this, the party will snatch all this and give it to its vote bank,” the Prime Minister said.

A hidden agenda of the party – inheritance tax – has come to light today, he said. He said in Indian society, grandparents save money for their grandchildren, for their marriages. They save property, and do not squander it on self-enjoyment.

But the Congress says “you cannot give this property to your children, nearly half the property will be looted by the Congress government by imposing a tax. Can you imagine, how far removed is the Congress from social values of the country and family traditions,” Mr Modi said.

Elders of families save money for their next generations. “We spend according to need,” he said. The Congress has its evil eyes on your savings and property. He said this plan of the Congress must be spread across all homes, he told the crowds.

The Congress hates the country’s Constitution, and the country’s identity. It is working on all projects which can weaken the country, its standing. The party is against people’s faith also; it was evident when the party showed its attitude towards the Ram temple and its Pran Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony.

“If they rejected the invitation to the consecration ceremony, don’t they deserved to be treated in the same manner and rejected in the polls,” he said.

During the Congress rule, he said, Madhya Pradesh was known as a BIMARU State; the State is now touching new heights of developments under the BJP rule, he said. Right policies and right vision only bring development. He said development started in the country, or Sagar, only when the Congress left and the BJP came, he said.
