The opposition Congress on Wednesday asked the BJP-led Rajasthan government to clarify its stand on whether it would continue the old pension scheme (OPS) for the state employees or bring back the new pension scheme (NPS).

During Zero Hour of the state assembly session, Leader of Opposition Tika Ram Jully told the House that the Bhajanlal government would abolish OPS after the Lok Sabha elections.

Julie said that recently, in the appointment letter for the recruitment of Chemical Officer in the Agriculture Department, the order of NPS has been removed from the OPS. This order was later withdrawn also, hence the BJP government should clarify its interest in OPS in the House so that people of the state should know its decision whether or not, Jully stressed.

Earlier, the opposition Congress created a ruckus when the ruling BJP government leveled scam charges in the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in pipe purchase and installation works in the villages.

Minister of State for PHED and Ground Water Department Kanhaiyalal rapped the Oppositon Congress saying, “If you have committed a sin then you will have to listen to it. He said that now only ED has come, if needed, CBI will also come.”

The House also witnessed an altercation between Jully and Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari regarding the cleanliness system at religious places and tourist hubs.

Julie asked the treasury benches, “Modiji has been running the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan for 10 years, is Alwar not included in it, the filth has not been cleaned in all these years. This is the situation when there is Alwar Municipal Council, the board is of BJP and the MLA is also of the BJP.”
