The Congress and the Lalu Prasad-led Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Wednesday discussed seat-sharing for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

The meeting was convened by the Congress’ National Alliance Committee’s convenor Mukul Wasnik with leaders of the RJD at his residence here.

During the meeting, they discussed at length the seat-sharing arrangement for the Lok Sabha polls in Bihar.

The meeting between both the parties was held as part of the Congress’ meetings with the parties of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc on seat-sharing.

Talking to reporters after the meeting, RJD leader and MP Manoj Kumar Jha said, “Things are on the track. It is moving ahead in a positive direction. Everything will be clear in a day or two.”

Notably, the Congress has so far announced seat-sharing with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK).

The general election will be held in seven phases between April 19 and June 1. The results will be declared on June 4.
