Shone George, son of BJP leader PC George, the complainant in the monthly pay-off case, alleged that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s statement that his daughter Veena Vijayan started her firm, Exalogic Solutions with his wife’s retirement benefits is not true.

In a Facebook post, Shone alleged that Veena’s company was not started with the amount that her mother received as retirement benefits. He based his claim on Exalogic’s balancesheet.

He said, “The chief minister misled the Assembly by the claim he made the other day that his daughter’s company was started with the pension amount of his wife Kamala Vijayan.”

The balancesheet provided by Veena Vijayan’s company accompanied by a document on the money used to start the company proved that the chief minister’s claim is false.

“The house committee should investigate this aspect of the case,” said Shone in his post in Malayalam.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan last week said in the Assembly that his daughter started the company in Bengaluru with the money her mother gave from her retirement benefits.

“My daughter started the company in Bengaluru with the money her mother gave from her retirement benefits. Hence, I would not be moved by these allegations. You should do only things that give you peace of mind. If you commit mistakes, you will not have peace of mind. I am in a state of mind in which I can hear the bad things against me with a smile in my heart. I could say this in front of anyone without bending my head,” the chief minister had said in the Assembly.
