In a major development to the coal scam case, a special court in Delhi on Friday rapped the CBI over non-submission of final report and asked it to submit by March 24.
According to reports, a special court had on March 6 directed the CBI to expeditiously file its further probe report in a coal block allocation scam case against industrialist Naveen Jindal and others.
The hearing of the coal block allocation case, involving ex-Minister of State for Coal Dasari Narayan Rao and ex-Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda as accused, was held on Friday.
The court had earlier rapped the CBI for not filing the final report in a proper format and had asked the agency to file the documents in a proper format.
The CBI, in its report, had earlier alleged that Koda had favoured Jindal group firms — Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) and Gagan Sponge Iron Private Ltd (GSIPL) — in allocation of Amarkonda Murgadangal coal block in Jharkhand.
