Some unconfirmed sources claimed that the word ‘Ram’ was scribbled on one of the walls inside the church. The police suspect that the vandals entered the church through a window and set it afire from the inside.

According to information, the church is affiliated to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.

According to Itarsi Sub Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) Mahendra Singh Chauhan, a case has been filed under Section 295 of IPC and a search is on to identify and arrest the miscreants.
