In relation to the preparations for the Telangana Assembly elections on November 30, Hyderabad Police Commissioner Sandeep Shandilya met with the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) on Monday.

In all tasks pertaining to the poll, these auxiliary forces will collaborate with the city police.

Shandilya gave them an overview of flying squad responsibilities, important voting places, and the importance of quick deployment by placing their units at strategic locations.  It was instructed to the ACPs to collaborate with them and offer appropriate accommodations.

In order to prevent inconvenience to the public, the city police chief also expressed the opinion that appropriate caution should be taken when performing tasks at check posts.

A similar meeting with CAPF was previously held by D. S. Chauhan, the commissioner of Rachakonda Police.

More central forces would be sent out, according to Chauhan, who stated that seven companies have already been sent out to support Rachakonda police men during the polls.

He said that in many of the commissionerate’s constituencies, the central forces and Rachakonda police officers would conduct a procession akin to a flag march.

He claimed that as a preventative measure, offenders are being bound over and that thorough inspections are being carried out to stop crimes like the transportation of undeclared cash and other valuables.
